Wham! Bam! Poetry Slam!

-

Location: Snite Museum of Art

The Notre Dame Creative Writing Program, in conjunction with Spoken Word ND and the Snite Museum of Art, will host the second annual Wham! Bam! Poetry Slam! in the Atrium of the Snite Museum of Art.

A poetry slam is a competitive event in which individual poets perform their work and are judged by random members of the audience.

This year, junior Marc Drake will serve as the event’s master of ceremonies. Drake is the president of the Spoken Word ND group on campus.

Poets interested in competing may preregister from March 3rd until all 12 spots are filled. Preregistration can be done by either calling or emailing Coleen Hoover at (574)631-4799 or hoover.14@nd.edu and providing name and contact information. Only poets who preregister will be allowed to compete.

The opening reception will begin promptly at 5 p.m. with the Slam starting at around 5:15 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public (both to perform and to watch).
