You’ll also discuss how to approach journal editors, how to handle rejections, and how to increase the likelihood that an article will be published. Also covered are the elements of a successful grant proposal and keys to improving the chances of being funded. The workshop leader, Bob Lucas, is director of the Institute for Scholarly Productivity in San Luis Obispo, California. He has more than 25 years experience helping faculty develop their writing skills. He holds a master’s and a doctorate from the University of Illinois, and has taught and conducted research in writing, the teaching of writing and writing theory at the University of Illinois and the University of Michigan.
