Lecture: "The German Research Foundation: Introduction to Structure, Programs, and International Collaboration"

Dr. Eva-Maria Streier, director of the German Research Foundation’s New York office, will present “The German Research Foundation: Introduction to Structure, Programs, and International Collaboration.”

The talk will be followed by a reception, during which attendees can meet and speak with Dr. Streier.

Holding a Ph.D. in American literature, Dr. Streier is a trained journalist. Prior to taking her current position in October 2011, she was head of the Press and Public Relations Department of the German Research Foundation (DFG) in Bonn and Berlin. She joined DFG in 1985.

The DFG is a private research funding organization based in Berlin, Germany, that supports science and research by providing sustainable support for young researchers, advancing the interdisciplinarization of the sciences and humanities, and supporting
networking in the field of research.
