-

Location: La Fortune, Notre Dame Room

Christopher Bail, assistant professor of sociology at the University of North Carolina, will present “The Fringe Effect: The Evolution of Public Discourse about Islam.”

The Colloquium on the Interdisciplinary Study of Religion (CISR) invites outside scholars twice per semester to lecture. CISR sessions seek to bolster the study of religion from an interdisciplinary perspective by bringing together students from a variety of disciplines, including sociology, history, and political science, to discuss topics of intersection within the study of religion.

This series is funded by the Institute for Scholarship in the Liberal Arts, the Center for the Study of Religion and Society, and the Rooney Center for the Study of American Democracy.
