Govier will offers an account of social trust, emphasizing its significance in contexts of post-conflict reconciliation. Govier’s talk will also highlight Mahatma Gandhi’s theory of the close relationship between ends and means. Her talk will analyze examples from Somalia, Sierra Leone, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
