On the Sidelines With Brad Gregory: From Stanford to Notre Dame

-

Location: Eck Visitors Center Auditorium

Brad Gregory, professor and Dorothy G. Griffin Collegiate Chair of Early Modern European History

Listen to Professor Gregory discuss his journey and what brought him to Notre Dame. Gregory, a practicing Catholic and award-winning scholar of the Reformation era, left a tenured position at Stanford in 2003 for the opportunity to teach and do research at Notre Dame. In his view, Notre Dame offers greater academic freedom than secular universities because of its openness to religion on its own terms and has a crucial intellectual role to play in American higher education and American society because of its Catholic identity.
