Lina Insana, associate professor of Italian, University of Pittsburgh

Insana will lead a workshop with Notre Dame students and faculty who are interested in pursuing research on Primo Levi.

Insana’s, whose research interests include Holocaust literature and film; Sicilian literature; Italian American literature; literature of Fascism and resistance; Italian detective fiction; and images of southern Italy in European literature, has recently published a book entitled Arduous Tasks: Primo Levi, Translation, and the Transmission of Holocaust Testimony (University of Toronto Press, 2009).
