Author Oscar Casares will read from his acclaimed novel, Amigoland, and Brownsville, his collection of stories.

A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, Casares now teaches creative writing at the University of Texas and directs their new Master of Fine Arts program in English. Amigoland and Brownsville have earned him fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Copernicus Society of America, and the Texas Institute of Letters.
