Italy: Ultimo Atto (Italy: Final Act)

-

Location: O'Shaughnessy Hall, Room 201

A brown-bag lunch discussion featuring: * Paolo Bernardini; professor of modern European history, School of Law, University of Insubria in Como, Italy; inaugural fellow, Institute for Advanced Study, University Notre Dame, and * Marina Calloni, professor of social and political philosophy, University of Milano-Bicocca; Italian Fulbright, University of Notre Dame.

Professor Bernardini argues that 2011 should be the last year of a unified Italian national state. In its place, he proposes full regional independence. Professor Calloni will deliver a response in what should be a stimulating and controversial discussion. All who are interested in the present and future of Italy are welcome to attend. Lunch will be provided. Sponsored by Italian Studies at Notre Dame
