Notre Dame’s Creative Writing Program will celebrate National Poetry Month with a tag team reading of poetry and prose. Throughout April across the U.S., the Academy of American Poets organizes a series of events to increase the visibility and availability of poetry in popular culture. This year, the Creative Writing Program has extended this event to prose writers, as well.
Students will read short selections in a tag-team style reading, allowing the audience to hear a range of styles, aesthetics, themes, and voices. This is a fast-paced, thrilling event worth seeing. The readers for this event include the following MFA students: Betsy Cornwell, Carina Finn, Kim Koga, Sara Leitenberger, Courtney McDermott, Ed Trefts, and Amanda Utzman.
