The baroque ensemble Fleur de lys presents music from Le Concert Spirituel, a pioneering public concert series at the Tuileries Palace in Paris. Founded in 1725 to provide entertainment during Lent when the opera and Comédie-Française were closed, this series—one of the first open to the public—sponsored works by France’s leading composers, including Rameau, Leclair, Blavet, Bernier, and Mondonville, who appear on today’s program.
Danielle Svonavec, soprano

Tamara Albahari, baroque violin
