Ian Kuijt, professor of anthropology, University of Notre Dame

Professor Kuijt’s research interests include the emergence of social inequality, the social context of food storage, prehistoric mortuary practices, the origins of agriculture, paleoenvironmental change and human adaptations, and lithic technology. Since 2006, he has directed Cultural Landscapes of the Irish Coast, an interdisciplinary project that seeks to understand social and cultural life in coastal Ireland, including medieval settlements.
