Film Screening and Discussion: The Oath

Laura Poitras (director) follows the fascinating journey of two men bound to Al-Qaeda yet divided by fate. One, a taxicab driver in Yemen, is the former bodyguard of Osama bin Laden. The other awaits trial for war crimes at Guantanamo Bay.

Mahan Mirza, assistant professor in the classics department, will lead a discussion on the film after the first screening. Another screening will take place later in the evening at 9:30 p.m. but will not be followed by a discussion.

Notre Dame students receive one free ticket with their student identification card. To receive a free ticket, students must present their identification card in person at the ticket office. Free tickets will be distributed based on a first-come, first-served basis until sold out.
