Wayne J. Hankey, Carnegie Professor of Classics and Chair of the Classics Department, Dalhousie University (Halifax, NS, Canada)
Professor Hankey’s interests are far-ranging: Neoplatonism and its history in the Latin West, medieval philosophy, contemporary French philosophy, and the relations among Hellenism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, among other topics. His latest book is entitled One Hundred Years of Neoplatonism in France: A Brief Philosophical History 2006. He has published almost 100 academic articles and reviews. Hankey was selected by the Medieval Institute’s graduate students as their invited speaker for 2009-10.
