Women Writers' Festival

-

Location: McKenna Hall

A panel discussion with all writers.

Notre Dame will host the third Women Writers’ Festival, featuring the renowned fiction writer Lorrie Moore, author of, most recently, A Gate at the Stairs (Knopf), which was a New York Times Notable Book of 2009. The lineup also includes Lolita Hernandez, author of Autopsy of an Engine and Other Stories From the Cadillac Plant, which won a 2005 PEN Beyond Margins Award; and fiction writer Frances Hwang, author of Transparency, which received the American Academy of Arts and Letters’ Sue Kaufman Prize for First Fiction and a PEN/Beyond Margins Award.

The event is meant to give undergraduate women writers at Notre Dame a chance to ask successful female authors about their writing histories and work.
