Location: McKenna Hall

Notre Dame will host the third Women Writers’ Festival, featuring the renowned fiction writer Lorrie Moore, author of, most recently, A Gate at the Stairs (Knopf), which was a New York Times Notable Book of 2009. The lineup also includes Lolita Hernandez, author of Autopsy of an Engine and Other Stories From the Cadillac Plant, which won a 2005 PEN Beyond Margins Award; and fiction writer Frances Hwang, author of Transparency, which received the American Academy of Arts and Letters’ Sue Kaufman Prize for First Fiction and a PEN/Beyond Margins Award.

A special invitation is extended to undergraduate women writers at Notre Dame. Come ask successful female authors about their writing histories and work.

The event is also free and open to the public.
