Service
Every year, approximately 20 percent of the graduating senior class in Arts and Letters make a one- to two-year commitment to serve in areas such as public and private education, family and children services, after-school programs, developing countries, and non-governmental organizations. Postgraduate service can be a life-changing experience and provide students with transferable skills for the next step in their careers.
The annual Post-Graduate Service Fair, sponsored by the Center for Social Concerns, is an excellent way to learn about service opportunities.
Many service organizations recruit and interview on campus through the Career Center. Visit Go IRISH for job postings, information sessions, and interview schedules. Make an appointment to meet with a career counselor to review application materials and prepare for interviews.
“I knew I wanted to have more of an impact on the world — and for that impact to be right now.”
— Patrick Salemme ’14
