Leave of Absence
A leave of absence may be granted for personal, medical, or study purposes for no more than two semesters in a row.
Students must contact their advising dean in the Office for Undergraduate Studies the semester before taking a leave of absence.
If students are planning to study abroad during their leave, they must meet with Assistant Dean Vicki Toumayan to discuss and approve the leave as a “study leave” so that credits for coursework taken can be transferable to the University.
Leaves of absence are limited in number in each semester, so students should visit the Office for Undergraduate Studies to discuss their plans and to inquire about the application for a study leave.
