Teachers as Scholars Program

A Professional Development Project for Local Educators

Teachers As Scholars

Teachers as Scholars (TAS) offers a variety of seminars in the humanities and social sciences for local K-12 teachers, led by faculty from Notre Dame's College of Arts and Letters.

The program is conducted in partnership with the School City of Mishawaka, South Bend Community School Corporation, Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend Catholic Schools, Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation, John Glenn School Corporation, and Union-North United School Corporation.

Through TAS, teachers have the opportunity to gather with colleagues from neighboring districts to study and discuss scholarly issues in a small-group setting, at no cost to the participants. The two-day seminars take place on the Notre Dame campus from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Teachers are encouraged to take seminars which interest them, regardless of their grade level or content expertise.
