Research Profile
Flint publishes and/or teaches in philosophical theology, philosophy of religion, metaphysics, the history of political theory, and Greek drama. His written work centers on questions concerning divine and human freedom, especially on questions concerning divine providence and the Incarnation. He edited Christian Philosophy (1990) and co-edited (with Eleonore Stump) Hermes and Athena: Biblical Exegesis and Philosophical Theology (1993). In 1998, his Divine Providence: The Molinist Account was published by Cornell University Press. Recent articles have appeared in Faith and Philosophy (the journal of the Society of Christian Philosophers, which he now serves as Editor), in Religious Studies, and in Philosophia Christi. Along with his colleague Michael Rea, he is editing The Oxford Handbook of Philosophical Theology, which is to be published in 2008.
