Research Profile

Deane is the author of French Enlightenment and Revolution in England (1988), Selected Poems (1988), Celtic Revivals (1987), Strange Country (1995), Reading in the Dark (1996). He is also the general editor of Field Day Anthology of Irish Writing, 3 vols. (1991); Penguin edition of James Joyce (1991-93); Critical Conditions; Essays and Monographs (11 vols, (1995-). Deane is a Member of The Royal Irish Academy and the Director of Field Day Company.
