Research Profile
Barber combines interests in the American Constitution and political theory. His works include The Constitution and the Delegation of Congressional Power (Chicago), On What the Constitution Means (Johns Hopkins), The Constitution of Judicial Power (Johns Hopkins), Welfare and the Constitution (Princeton), Constitutional Interpretation:The Basic Questions (Oxford; with James Fleming), and numerous articles in constitutional theory. He has held fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities and The American Council of Learned Societies.
