Robin Darling Young

Research Profile

Robin Darling Young has taught in the fields of History of Christianity (Wesley Theological Seminary), Greek Patristic Theology (The Catholic University of America) and Armenian Studies (The University of Chicago). She has written, translated or co-edited six books, twenty-five articles or chapters in books, festschriften and encyclopedias, and book reviews in Church History, Theological Studies, Journal of the American Academy of Religion, Anglican Theological Review, The Thomist, Religious Studies Review, Modern Theology, The Washington Post, et cetera. She has served on boards and program committees for the American Society of Church History, the Syriac Studies Symposium, the American Catholic Historical Association,  and the American Academy of Religion, and has consulted for the National Endowment for the Humanities. Her chief interests lie in the languages and cultures of the ancient Christian East, viz. Greek, Syriac and Armenian. At Notre Dame she primarily teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in early Christianity.
