Research Profile
Deane-Moran's areas of expertise are English for Non-Native Speakers, Linguistics, and Middle English Literature. She has worked on Fourteenth Century "Matter of England" Romances, relating narrative form to length. This focus has developed into a course on the Novel and its aspect of Point-of-View. Interest in History of the Language and Linguistics led to the formation, management and supervision of a program in the oral/aural use of English for graduate students, faculty, and post doctoral scholars in various departments throughout the University.
