Research Profile
David is full professor of philosophy at the University of Notre Dame. He is the author of Correspondence and Disquotation: An Essay on the Nature of Truth (Oxford 1994) and a coeditor of the journal Grazer Philosophische Studien. His present research interests include: theories of truth and the history of the concept of truth and its role in philosophical arguments; skepticism and epistemic closure; history of modern philosophy, especially Descartes and Locke.
