Lance Askildson

Lance Askildson specializes in second language acquisition pedagogy and language program administration. He will serve as the founding director of Notre Dame’s new Center for the Study of Languages and Cultures (CSLC).  Scheduled to open its doors to the Notre Dame community in the Spring of 2009, the CSLC is intended to provide an interdisciplinary venue for the promotion of foreign language learning via language resources, technologies and interactive programming. Askildson's research interests include computer-aided language learning, psycholinguistic processes of reading and the intersection of language, culture and identity in study abroad immersion environments.
