Research Profile
Kevin J. Christiano is the author of two books: Religious Diversity and Social Change (Cambridge University Press, 1987); and Pierre Elliott Trudeau: Reason Before Passion (ECW Press, 1994 and 1995). He is also co-author (with William H. Swatos, Jr., and Peter Kivisto) of Sociology of Religion: Contemporary Developments (AltaMira Press, 2002; second edition: Rowman & Littlefield Publishers, 2008). Professor Christiano is Past President of both the Association for the Sociology of Religion and the American Council for Québec Studies. He currently serves as Secretary-Treasurer of the Section on the Sociology of Religion of the American Sociological Association and as a member-at-large of the Council and the Finance Chair of the North Central Sociological Association. In addition, he is an associate editor of Québec Studies, Social Compass, and the Sociological Quarterly, and is a member of the editorial boards of the American Review of Canadian Studies, Mens: Revue d’histoire intellectuelle de l’Amérique française, and Sociological Focus.
