Kasey Buckles
Assistant Professor
Department of Economics and Econometrics
Degrees
B.A., University of Kentucky; M.A., Ph.D., Boston University
Research Profile
Buckles’ research fields include labor economics and applied microeconometrics. Her recent work investigates the causes and consequences of fertility delay for working women. One project has measured the wage premium for each year that a woman delays the birth of her first child, and finds that most of the premium can be explained by differences in women's observable characteristics. She is also studying the effects of policies that promote adoption for children in foster care.
