Springs' areas of research and teaching include conceptions of toleration and the challenges presented by religious pluralism for transforming conflict; ethical, philosophical and theological dimensions of recognition, reconciliation and forgiveness in the wake of conflict; democratic theories and practices as resources for peacebuilding.
