Research Profile
Professor Rakowski's research and teaching interests include international economics, the relationship between individual rationality and social rationality, and marketplace ethics. A recently completed work on the consumer and price discrimination appeared in the April 2004 Business Ethics Quarterly. Rakowski has also long focused on and published in the topic of the concept of real GDP, pointing out unresolved paradoxes and contradictions in the current treatment. A manuscript entitled "Doing Macroeconomics Without the Macro Identities " is currently in circulation. He is also working on problems of practically evaluating the impacts of trade policy, and the distorting effects of focusing more on costs than benefits, and has a paper prepared for circulation.Contact Information
