Research Profile
Dr. Fisher-McPeak is a Specialist in Foreign Language Pedagogy, Video Pedagogy, and Phonetics. She was a Kaneb Teaching Award recipient in 1999. Papers presented at conferences have included Using Video to Teach French Literature at the Intermediate Level and Using Video to Teach French Phonetics. Also interested in French Polynesia, she teaches a course entitled "Tahiti and other French Islands of the Pacific", and has produced educational videos in French Polynesia and in France. Her papers presented on the subject in the US and Canada have included "Tahiti, the Forgotten Francophone Culture" and "Teaching French Polynesia".
