Research Profile

Coleman's dissertation "Wolves and American History" won the Bienecke prize for best dissertation in Western American history at Yale as well as the Eggleston award for the best dissertation in American history in 2003. His first book, Vicious: Wolves and Men in America (Yale University Press, 2004) won the W. Turrentine Jackson Award from the Western History Association and the John H. Dunning Prize from the American Historical Association.
