Research Profile
Torrance's primary areas of interest are in archaic and classical Greek literature and culture, and their reception through the ages, with specialisms in Greek tragedy and Greek religion. She has authored Aeschylus: Seven Against Thebes (London, 2007) and has published several articles on all three of the 'great tragedians'. She also regularly reviews books in her field for a variety of journals. Her second book, The Oath in Archaic and Classical Greece, a joint project with Professor Alan Sommerstein (Nottingham, UK), is under contract with deGruyter.
