Research Profile
Page's particular research interests are in early Hebrew poetry; ancient epic; myth; African American biblical interpretation; theological poetry; religious traditions and Black identity construction; and the role of mysticism and esoterism in African and African-Diasporan spiritualities. His published works include Exploring New Paradigms in Biblical and Cognate Studies (as editor), The Myth of Cosmic Rebellion: A Study of its Reflexes in Ugaritic and Biblical Literature, Waves, Clouds, and Flames: Impressions from Journeys Past and Present, and Exodus (for the People's Bible Commentary series). He is founder and president of the Institute for Ancient Near Eastern and Afroasiatic Cultural Research, a Research Associate of Human Relations Area Files at Yale University, and holds membership in the Society of Biblical Literature, the American Academy of Religion, the Academy of Homiletics, the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion, and the Society for the Study of Black Religion.Contact Information
