Research Profile

Jane Doering is the Executive Coordinator of both the Teachers as Scholars Program at Notre Dame and the Executive Coordinator of the Jr. Great Books Program, Program of Liberal Studies. Her research specialty is the political and social thought of twentieth century French philosopher Simone Weil. Publications are The Christian Platonism of Simone Weil, 2004 Notre Dame Press; and The Specter of Self-perpetuating Force: Simone Weil on Justice, Violence, Beauty, and Grace, 2010 Notre Dame Press.
