Research Profile
Dr. Rotman's research program centers on how social relations of class, gender, and ethnicity were created, codified, and reproduced through material objects and the differential use of space in the nineteenth century. She is currently investigating two Irish immigrant neighborhoods in South Bend. She teaches an annual archaeological field school south of campus and takes students with her to Ireland to collect oral histories and conduct archival research.
