Research Profile

Waller is the Gilbert F. Schaefer Chair of Economics. He was a professor at Indiana University (1985-1998) and held the C.M. Gatton Chair of Monetary Economics at the University of Kentucky (1998-2003). He has been a Visiting Professor at Washington University, the University of Paris II, the University of Mannheim, University of Canterbury and the National University of Ukraine. He has been a Visiting Scholar at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, the Federal Reserve Banks of St. Louis and Cleveland, the Central Intelligence Agency and the Economics Education and Research Consortium. Waller's research interests include monetary theory and political economy. His research has been published in American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Monetary Economics and many other journals. Waller is currently an Associate Editor at the European Economic Review, Journal of Money, Credit and Banking and the Journal of Macroeconomics.
