Research Profile
Dr. Bolten investigates post-war poverty, development, and inter-generational conflict in Sierra Leone. Using the lens of interpersonal morality, she is currently writing a book on how basic sociality shaped the character of the Sierra Leonean civil war and aftermath. Her future research has two prongs: the "problem of youth" and development in gerontocratic society, and the relationship between resource wealth and structural violence in politically marginal areas of Africa.Contact Information
