Research Profile

Christine Becker specializes in film and television history, and her scholarly interests include the study of the industrial and cultural relationships between film and television. Her book, It's the Pictures That Got Small: Hollywood Film Stars on 1950s Television, is forthcoming (Winter 2008) from Wesleyan University Press. She has also been published in the Journal of Radio Studies, the Journal of Popular Culture, Framework and Mediascape. Her next project will analyze contemporary changes in British and American broadcasting.
