Research Profile
Connolly studies international institutions and international environmental politics. Her dissertation explained state preferences for the organizational design of cooperative arrangements to manage nuclear power safety and acid rain in Eastern and Western Europe. She is author or co-author of three chapters in Robert Keohane and Marc Levy, eds., Institutions for Environmental Aid: Pitfalls and Promise (MIT Press, 1996), "Institutions or Environmental Aid: Politics, Lessons and Opportunities," Environment (June, 1996) and author of "Asymmetrical Rivalry in Common Pool Resources and European Responses to Acid Rain" in Samuel Barkin and George Shambaugh, eds., Anarchy and the Environment: The International Relations of Common Pool Resources (SUNY Press, 1998).
