Research Profile

A longtime member of the Notre Dame faculty, Gutting served as Director of the University’s Undergraduate London Program for 18 years, pioneering programs such as classes at the New Globe Theatre, internships with members of Parliament, and experiential learning with developmentally challenged children. She also developed and directed Notre Dame’s Oxford Program. Before her current appointment, Gutting was a concurrent member of the Department of Philosophy. Her teaching and research interests include philosophy of the arts and philosophy of mind. She is associate editor of the online journal Notre Dame Philosophical Reviews.
