Cindy Bergeman, chair and professor of psychology, delivered the most recent lecture in the University of Notre Dame’s Saturday Scholar Series, “Successful Aging,” on September 30. Her presentation focused on the psychosocial attributes that promote stress resistance and resiliency in later life, and the factors and processes that lead to more optimal outcomes.

Sponsored by Notre Dame’s College of Arts and Letters, the Saturday Scholar Series presentations begin three and one-half hours before kickoff of each home football game and are held in the Annenberg Auditorium of the Snite Museum of Art.

The next presentation will be Oct. 7 and will feature Susan Sheridan, associate professor of anthropology, with a lecture titled “The Bone Collector.”
