Lecture: "A Palestinian Theology of Liberation: The Bible, Justice and the Palestine-Israel Conflict"

Rev. Naim Ateek, Christian Palestinian theologian and founder of Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center, Jerusalem, will discuss his new book, A Palestinian Theology of Liberation: The Bible, Justice, & the Palestine-Israel Conflict. He will describe the history of how Palestinian liberation theology emerged, examine the challenges of Christian Zionism and speak about what liberation theology means for Palestinians living under Israeli occupation today. Professor Rashied Omar, a scholar of Islamic Studies and Peacebuilding at the Keough School of Global Affairs, and Marcelle, a Palestinian activist and student in the Master of Global Affairs program at Notre Dame, will join Rev. Ateek.
