Description:

The Department of English offers instruction in English language and literature. Students explore texts and traditions in three fundamental ways; they conduct research in the English language itself, study English literature, and develop the critical skills needed to write with interpretive intelligence and verbal sophistication.

These skills allow students to pursue careers in law, business, communications, publishing, journalism, and a variety of other professions.
