Beyond the Stage: An Evening with Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor

-

Location: Regis Philbin Studio Theatre, DeBartolo Performing Arts Center

Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor, the writer-director team behind this summer’s brand-new comedy, William Shakespeare’s Long Lost First Play (abridged) have been “reducing expectations” for more than 25 years with plays like The Complete History of America (abridged); The Bible: the Complete Word of God (abridged); and their very own reference book, Reduced Shakespeare: The Complete Guide for the Attention-Impaired (abridged).

Martin and Tichenor’s irreverent abridgments have been performed on five continents, at the White House, The Kennedy Center, and as part of China’s Wuzhen International Theater Festival. Stars of the PBS version of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), the comic duo has also appeared on NBC’s Today Show, CBS Sunday Morning, Entertainment Tonight, CNN’s Showbiz This Week, and all over NPR.

With their newest comedy, William Shakespeare’s Long Lost First Play (abridged), the “bad boys of abridgment” return to Shakespeare for the first time in over 27 years. Don’t miss your chance to meet Martin and Tichenor before you see their play.

One evening only!
