Theatre Performance: As You Like It

-

Location: Washington Hall

One of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies, “As You Like It” features the famous battle of wits between Rosalind and Orlando, and Jaques’ immortal “All the world’s a stage” speech detailing the seven ages of man. The play, beginning with the banishment of the Duke to the Forest of Arden, contains some of Shakespeare’s most well-known comic characters (and scenes) and includes some of his most beautiful ruminations on the virtue of living in harmony with the natural world.

Actors From The London Stage is one of the oldest established touring Shakespeare theatre companies in the world. Housed and workshopped in London and produced on campuses throughout the nation by Shakespeare at Notre Dame, this self-directed ensemble of five professional British actors brings to life the timeless and universal works of William Shakespeare with stunning simplicity and clarity.

Performances will be held on February 5, 6, and 7, 2014, at 7:30 p.m.
