PIN Night

Definition

The College of Arts and Letters hosts PIN Night, a mandatory meeting for rising sophomores, a week prior to spring registration period. The evening serves to explain the College's rules and regulations and to answer questions regarding entrance into the College.

Program

On PIN Night, students are welcomed to the College by Dean Roche. They are also given information regarding college requirements, graduating on time, and how to plan accordingly. Personal identification numbers (PINs), which are required for registration, are distributed at the end of the evening.

Absences

An excused absence is necessary for a student unable to attend PIN Night and may be obtained from the Office of Undergraduate Studies. Only extraordinary circumstances warrant an excusal from PIN Night.
