How do I make an appointment with an assistant dean in the Office of Undergraduate Studies?

Visit the Office of Undergraduate Studies in 104 O'Shaughnessy Hall or call (574) 631-7098.

How do I know who my advisor is?

Check with your major department to determine who your advisor is for your major. All other questions should be referred to the Office of Undergraduate Studies.

How do I declare my major?

Visit the Office of Undergraduate Studies to declare your major.

How do I change colleges?

Changing colleges requires the permission of the Office of Undergraduate Studies. Schedule an appointment to learn about the process.

How do I transfer from another university?

Transfer students must apply through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Please contact Katherine Linn by email at admissions@nd.edu, by phone at (574) 631-7505, or by mail at 220 Main Building Notre Dame, IN 46556.

How do I get my pin number?

Check with your advisor in your first major to receive your pin number.

How do I find out when my exams are?

Exam schedules are posted on the web site for the Office of the Registrar.

How do I overload?

Only juniors with a minimum GPA of 3.5 and seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0 may apply for overloads. Sophomores are not eligible. Juniors and seniors in the College of Arts and Letters may apply for an overload at the Office of Undergraduate Studies.

How do I take a class pass/fail?

You must receive permission from the Office of Undergraduate Studies within the first seven class days of a semester.

How do I take classes at another university during the summer and get credit for them?

Pick up a transfer course pre-approval form in 104 O'Shaughnessy.  Take the form and the course description of the summer class to the appropriate department.  The form must be signed by your advisor or the chair of the department and returned to 104 O’Shaughnessy.

How do I get a degree audit?

Visit the Office of Undergraduate Studies to fill out the proper forms or check on InsideND.

How do I get a copy of my transcript?

You must request a copy of your transcript from the Registrar by either visiting the Registrar or filling out a form available online.

How do I get tickets for graduation?

You will receive a packet of information from the Registrar that will include a ticket application form.
