Withdrawals
Mandatory Approvals
Withdrawing from the University requires serious personal reflection as well as interaction with and approval from two University officials: an assistant dean from the College of Arts and Letters and the associate vice president for Residence Life.
A student must obtain these approvals to avoid failing his or her classes and to ensure the appropriate adjustment to his/her student account.
Implications of Withdrawal
Students withdrawing from the University should understand that
- They must reapply to return to the University: and
- They must wait two full semesters before applying to return
Procedure for Withdrawal
To withdraw from the University:
- Schedule an appointment with an assistant dean in the Office of Undergraduate Studies to more fully understand of the implications of withdrawal.
- Obtain an assistant dean’s signature on the University’s separation form.
- Schedule an appointment with the Associate Vice President for Residence Life for withdrawal approval.
