Academic Advising and Requirements

Change of College

To transfer into the College of Arts and Letters, students must file a Student Academic Program Selection form available at the dean's Office of their current College or at the Office of the Registrar, 105 Main Building. A student may apply for a change of College if:

1. S/he is in good academic standing.
2. S/he has completed First Year requirements;
3. S/he wishes to complete a program within the College and there is evidence the student will successfully complete it.

Before students initiate a change of College, they should consult an Assistant Dean in his/her intended College.

  • Business: 101 Mendoza College of Business
  • Engineering: 257 Fitzpatrick Hall of Engineering
  • Science: 229 Nieuwland Science Hall.

Students on probation must regain good standing before changing Colleges; however, they may take classes in the College to which they intend to transfer while on probation.
